Hey Mike,I just wanted to give you some encouragement. I think that, not only are you trying to get healthy, but you are letting all of our listeners join in. I pray for you every day and I know what you are going through, because I am trying to do the same. God gave me this temple and I have not honored him very well, but with his guidance and seeing you put it all on the line, it is truly amazing. God Bless YOU!- Lisa

Have houseplants. They are a great natural way to increase oxygen within the home.

From Scottie Reall Jr, Mike's Trainer: The ideal rep range for muscular gains is between 8-20. If doing higher numbers of reps, it is safest to use lighter weight, somewhere around 60% of one's one rep max. If doing loower numbers of reps, around 8-12, it is best to use a little more weight, around 80% of one's one rep max.

Hi Mike, I am delighted to see you, at your young age, doing what you are and pray that it truly becomes a permanent lifestyle change for you. At this writing, I am 61 years, 3 months of age and have struggled with weight issues for most of my life. Twenty years of my life was spent in the U.S. Navy, so that held me accountable and I managed to keep my weight just under the maximum allowable for most of the career. Since that time, it has been up and down.

From Scott Reall, Founder of Restore Ministries and Author of Journey To Freedom:
Power of Vision

There are two types of motivation – one is called extrinsic motivation, the other is called intrinsic motivation. In Journey to Freedom, we work with people who are trying to create a new life for themselves by changing a key part of their lives. We know that the key to sustaining change is maintaining the motivation, for the rest of our lives, always moving towards our new self, our best self that we are in the process of creating with God in the process of change.

I am 28 years old and fixing to move to Africa as a full time missionary. God has been convicting me that I am not respecting and caring for this body he has given me stewardship of. I currently weigh 283 and my goal is 190. I am ready to commit to God’s calling in my life both in Africa and in my health. I hope that joining in with all of you will be the bridge to help me complete this goal! - Sarah

I joined Mike, but wanted to share a little of my story. I actually got a head start on this. I started last July and have already lost 65 pounds. I only wish it was under different circumstances. I was diagnosed with diabetes and didn't much choice. My doctor tole me to lose 85-90 pounds and I am on my way. I joined this group in the hopes of getting some support. I lost the first 65 pounds with no problem, but am stuck now and can't seem to get the rest of the weight off. I want to offer my support to everyone who is doing this.- Terry
