Was doing really great up to last week. Had lost a total of 24 pounds but managed to gain 8 of that back this past week. Lots of stress going on here. But am back on the bandwagon today!
Keep up the great work!

My name is Adam and I meant to sign up in january, but as usual i am late (my wife calls me flexible). I started working out in january in springfield, mo. The first day I went to work out it was just to kind of get in shape until i stepped on the scale. I weighed in at 386 pounds. So far I have lost 29 pounds. I am 6' 9" tall so I have always carried my weight well. I am a Fire Fighter/ Paramedic and it is important for me to be in shape both for my job and my son. I have a 4 year old son (5 year old in a week) and I can't keep up with him anymore.

I was inspired by your journey.  I read about Dr. Asa on your 90 in 09 website.  I ordered his book on amazon, and am on the anti-inflammatory diet right now.  Monday will be 2 weeks. I have lost 5 lbs, and am excited to get healthier and happier right along side you Mike!!  I hope to live better, and this whole experience is bringing me closer to God and closer to health!!  WTG  lets keep the journey together.- Terry

From Founder of Journey to Freedom and Personal Trainer Scott Reall:
The foundation that Mike is building for the change in his life is helping him to combat the stresses and pressures that we all encounter in our day to day lives. Many times, this is where we relapse and fall back into our old ways. However, the hard work that we put in now, will pay off when the storms of life come—and they will come. Look at this preparation for change as an opportunity to fortify yourself during the storm and experience the peace and calm when it is over.

Use music in the morning and evening. Music therapy has been used for years and has profound effects on our mental state. It can stimulate, activate and inspire you in the morning and calm you in the evening.

I’ve lost 13 pounds on the way to losing 60. A bit slower start, but I’ve some emotional turmoil to deal over the last two month, too. So, all in all, I’m quite happy. We have a whole group of us here at work (a church) getting ready to start a fitness and food accountability group to help keep each other on the right track. Thanks for the encouragement. David
