I feel like a car...
I feel like a car! Ok, I'll explain. A typical car will sit in a garage for who knows how long and then suddenly get cranked up and "it's go time"! This was my past week. We were snuggled in at camp in Ridgecrest NC for 5+ days (which has a much more laid back schedule from our usual non-stop concert days). Then, Saturday was: play the morning session, pack up everything and get the bus back to Mobile, AL (550 miles) so I could re-pack a suitcase, grab a 4 hour nap and head to the airport to fly to Colorado! I needed an oil change (or rotate and balance...alignment...something!).
I had just purchased a new camera before these trips. I enjoyed learning this new camera (and its capabilities). It allowed me to take some pretty amazing pictures, most of which were scenery shots from the ground and the plane. I am amazed at just how marvelous God's creations are! Each day is full of His art galleries. Most are too busy to stop and notice it. Nothing will ever beat seeing the real thing in person...but great pictures do help re-creating the memories. '
Enjoying the journey (and scenery),
Joe (keys, sax, vocals and bus driver extraordinaire)

Ridgecrest is the most amazing place! I went there as a teenager a few times. I then worked there for two summers. One of my jobs while I was there was to care for the Prayer Garden. I dearly love that holy ground with the springs. I cannot tell you the wonderful times of growing up, soul searching, and awesome mountain top moments (literally!) that I had while I was at Ridgecrest. I have not been able to return.
Thank you for posting the picture of my beloved mountains. It is worth a thousand memories to me!
